Wyoming Lullaby

This will be an airbrush and mixed media painting that tries to capture the imagination and mystery of the west. The lone wolf howls at the moon which invokes the feeling of the wildness and nostalgic past of Wyoming history. The Indian village, waterfall, and mountains together form a spiritual circle of unity that mankind and the natural environment must share in order to gain balance. The wolf is also linked to the Indians by both being in Native American myths and sharing the same passions for life.

Where the antelope roam

The idea is based on the inherent nature of antelope. The base layer of the antelope is the sculpted form and will painted to appear as an actual antelope. The next layer of the idea is the photographs painted on the antelope are a representative of Wyoming landmarks, places or significant events. The photographs are like a stamp, the antelope becomes the passport as it ranges across Wyoming. Atypical of most artists, my medium of choice is an airbrush.
